Since 1977 Selca has been synonymous of advanced technology in the field of Numerical Controls and servosystems applied to automation.

Since 1996 Selca has been part of the German group DR. JOHANNES HEIDENHAIN GmbH, worldwide leader in the positioning optical transducer sector.

Selca's products are appreciated by users in all advanced industrial sectors and equip machine tools used in very exacting applications going through complex mould and die milling and different mechanical machining.

The company headquarters is in Ivrea (Turin), where the Numerical Controls, Digital Drives, Spindle Motors and Rotor/stator units are designed and produced.
In Ivrea Selca also produces the CNCs destined to machines for thermoplastic and gum machining, electronic boards and special controls developed on customer's specifications for different industrial divisions.

From 1st May 2008 HEIDENHAIN ITALIANA S.r.l. became the contact for promoting, comercializing and servicing Selca products in Italy and abroad.
